Like other islands, Cat Ba Island is famous for wonderful beaches. The most well-known are Cat Co 1, 2 and 3. Among them, Cat Co 1 is the most crowded because of its large area and 3 sides surrounded by rocky mountains.
Clear water, light winds, small waves and majestic mountains help visitors escape from daily routines and immerse in the beauty of nature.
Located at a height of 177m, Cannon Fortress is a historical site constructed by the Army of Vietnam in the 1940s. Now there are still 2 big cannons stored in this place with the weight up to dozens of tons.
Besides visiting the fortress, travelers can also observe many familiar places off Cat Ba Island from above like Lan Ha Bay…
Lan Ha Bay
Tourists coming to Cat Ba Island often spend a whole day discovering Lan Ha Bay’s beauty by boat. Lying in the south of Ha Long Bay, Lan Ha has some features in common with the world natural heritage (surrounding rocky mountains and small islands).
From the boat, visitors can easily recognize the weird shape of mountains. If they would like to feel the beauty of the bay fully, kayaking will be a great choice. It will allow you to come closer to limestone islands and caves deep in mountains.
Furthermore, Lan Ha Bay also boasts its own beauty with fine white sandy beaches that we cannot find out in Ha Long Bay.
This is an inevitable place in the journey to explore Lan Ha Bay. There is so many funny monkeys here, which is especially suitable for kids.
If you want to swim, Cat Dua is a good choice or you can also take part in a diving tour in a center on the island.
